How the war has affected the Ukrainian livestock sector and what ways out of the crisis were discussed at an international conference on "The fight for the existence of the Ukrainian livestock sector" within the frames of the exhibition EuroTier 2022.

First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky noted that the industry is experiencing hard times, but shows resistance to unpredictable challenges, resumes and strengthens international cooperation with EU countries, particularly with Germany, which is a longtime partner of Ukraine.

"With the beginning of the Russian invasion, we felt even more that Germany is a great friend of Ukraine and is ready to further cooperate in various sectors, including cattle breeding. The industry is showing resilience. There is a certain decline, but it cannot be compared with the challenges that the war brought. The recovery of the industry has already begun, with international partners joining in in terms of humanitarian support. There is an initiative to create a fund to support Ukraine",  said Taras Vysotsky.
