The Government of Ukraine has reduced funding from the Stabilization Fund of the State Budget of agricultural programs and projects in agriculture from 2.9 billion UAH provided earlier to 1.25 billion UAH. (Cabinet of Ministers decree of July 28, 2010, № 652).
In particular, the Government decided to provide 622 million UAH for cheaper loans instead of previously provided 1012000000 UAH; 100 million UAH instead of 1 billion UAH for the cheaper cost of construction and reconstruction of breeding farms and complexes.
Besides, the Government reduced funding to protect and improve soil fertility from 100 million UAH to 5 million UAH; from 150 million UAH to 100 million UAH for programs of partial compensation for the value of agricultural complex machinery of domestic production; from 16 million UAH to 6 million UAH for prevention of infectious disease agents of animals.
In addition, 43.6 million UAH instead of 88.6 UAH will be allocated for the compensation cost of electricity for irrigation on irrigated lands.
Government has also reduced the amount of credit provided to farmers from 80 million UAH to 40 million UAH; from 50 million UAH to 40 million UAH for the purchase of breeding heifer and cows, domestic machinery and equipment for agriculture for farmers under financial lease.
As reported earlier, the Government has allocated 2.9 billion UAH from the Stabilization Fund of the State Budget for cheaper loans to farmers, financing investment projects in the agriculture industry and agricultural applications.
