For his part, the head of Transcarpathian Regional Council promised to assist as far as possible in realization of all the projects, which Hungary plans to implement in Ukraine and gave the Hungarian official famous stamps and a postcard with a Russian ship theme.
As reported, Ukraine together with Hungary intends to apply to the European Union to increase the capacity of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
"We will apply together to the EU so that we can develop the capacity of the transit corridors both on the Ukrainian and Hungarian side. We are concerned about what the food supply of the world will be as a result of the war...We are interested in the movement of goods to speed up. It's not just a Hungarian, Ukrainian or European interest. It's a global interest," Hungarian Agriculture Minister Ivshtan Nadia said last week.
Slovakia and Hungary are undeveloped logistics corridors in the European market because Ukraine has been exporting agricultural products mostly through the sea, according to Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy Nikolai Solsky.
"We have a smaller number of checkpoints on the border with Hungary than with Romania or Poland, so we plan to increase it and are already working on it," - said the Ukrainian minister.
