An uncontrolled import of low-qualitative meat into Ukraine has a negative impact on the development of livestock industry at dumping prices. In 2009, the volume of supply of this meat to the meat processing enterprises and wholesale food markets in Kharkov region increased in several times compared to the year 2008: beef - twice, pork and bacon - 6 times more, poultry meat - in 9,6 times.

Under such circumstances, its own production is minimized, with all its negative consequences. Igor Zubrich, Head of the Main Administration of Agro-industrial Development HOGA, announced this during the Regional State Administration meeting.
