During the’ Shield’ operation the joint working group, which included members of the Department of Tax Police of Kotovskaya STI and Yagorlitskaya customs, detained the KamAZ with contraband meat products in the border area of Kodyma. This was reported by the press office of the STA in Odessa region.
The truck was driven by the owner, a resident of Nikolaev region. It carried 20 tons of pork ham boneless of Brazil production at 600 thousand UAH. The documents indicating the legitimacy of origin, safety, and ownership of the production the owner of the truck could not present.
The goods are set out and taken away from illegal circulation. Materials of testing and the load are passed to Yagorlitskaya customs until the decision made.
Also officers of the Department of Tax Police of the STI of Malinovskii region in Odessa detained 18 trucks loaded with goods belonging to one of private enterprises in the Odessa Sea Commercial Port. It is 121,9 thousand kg of gammons of bacon from Canada at 3 million 049.2 thousand UAH and 334.6 thousand kg of halves of pork from Brazil at 7 million 697.5 thousand UAH withdrawn.
Total seizures of inventory are 10 million 746.7 thousand UAH.
As stated in the report, the company's property in the criminal case initiated against the officials is arrested.
