On June, 7 Nikolai Frantovskii, the attorney of Zhytomyr region, initiated a criminal case against the director of a limited liability company in Chudnov region, the deputy of the village council, under part 2, Art. 364 (abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As Vladimir Koberniuk, the deputy regional prosecutor, reported, there was an agreement between the public enterprise ‘Resurpostach’ and the Goskomrezerv of Ukraine signed for the resolution enforcement of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the provision of the State Reserve with the ‘Resurspostach’ meat. And there was another agreement detected. It was signed with ‘Chudnovskie kolbasy’ LLC concerning the responsible safekeeping of pork. It is almost 39 tons worth over 700 thousand UAH.
However, the director of the company, being a public official and abusing his position, intentionally, from mercenary motives, willfully disposed the meat transferred for keeping, which was owned by the Goskomrezerv. Thus the financial loss for the state-owned enterprise ‘Resurspostach’ was inflicted totaling more than 600 thousand UAH.
In accordance with Art. 115 of the Criminal Procedure Code, a suspect is arrested, a pre-trial investigation is started.
