An agricultural plant "Kalyta" was awarded the diploma of the first degree for a sow of a large white breed.
The Expert Committee of the XXII International Fair "AGRO-2010" held from 15 to 19 June 2010 on the territory of the National Complex "Expotsentr of Ukraine”, announced a sow of a large white breed of an agricultural plant "Kalyta" as a champion.
The winner was being determined by an exterior and performance metrics. Multiproductivity of the champion sow, aged two years, is 13 heads. The body length is 178 cm, live weight is 305 kg. Live weight of piglets at the age of 60 days is 195 kg. These figures correspond to the "elite" class.
In the XXII International Fair "AGRO-2010" large white sows were represented not only by the agricultural plant "Kalyta" but also by three pig farms of Ukraine.
In the XXII International Fair "AGRO-2010" on the stand of the agricultural plant "Kalyta" there was not only the large white sow represented, but also her 12 piglets, and three six male pigs of Landrace breed of English breeding. All pigs represented by the agricultural plant "Kalyta" to "AGRO-2010", were sold directly at the exhibition.
Reference: the agricultural plant "Kalyta" was built in 1974 and is one of the largest pig farms of Ukraine with a full cycle of reproduction. The total number of livestock is about 70 000 pigs, including 9400 heads of a breeding herd.
AC ”Kalyta" with "Kalytianskyi experimental plant of forage and premixes" are parts of the company "Sagro”, which manages the assets of "Smart holding" in agriculture, particularly in crop production, animal husbandry and horticulture.
