Bohdan Danylyshyn, Minister of Economic Affairs of Ukraine, reported at the briefing that separate food products price rise isn’t caused by economic factors but connected with political situation in the country.
‘I responsibly claim that there are no reasons or premises, economic as well, for making up the price situation. Separate food products price rise has no base’, Minister emphasized. Thus, according to his words, inflationary processes have been going down in the country, food supply security level is estimated to be high, and record-breaking yield ensured fair food supplies.
Bohdan Danylyshyn is sure that the main reason for food products price rise is the political situation in the country: ‘The main reasons of such a situation to be defined we’d name the political reasons first of all, which are connected with the pre-election situation and the second round of the presidential election’.
According to him, the opponents of the operating Prime-minister are trying to discredit the government and Yulia Tymoshenko particularly. Especially the evidence of it is the highest separate food products price rise observed in the AR of Crimea, eastern and southern regions of the country.
Bohdan Danylyshyn said that appropriate groups of State Price Control Inspection, Antimonopoly Committee, State Tax Administration and internal affairs bodies have been formed to control the price situation and deal with those dishonest market participants who illicitly raise prices because of political reasons.
